Presentation Evening

The Ottery St Mary presentation dinner took place on Saturday night with the awards being presented by Club Chairman Greg Layzell. The first team managers player of the year went to Peter Darke, the players player of the year going to goalkeeper Adrian Pullin while the supporters player went to Carl Wilson. The reserves managers player of the year presented by manager Tim Mills went to Harry Mills and the players player of the year going to James Hudson.
Treasurer Alan Slark was awarded club man of the year. There was also club awards for retiring grounds man Robin Perryman, player Aaron Carpanini, webmaster & programme editor Steve Flinders and a bouquet of flowers was presented to club secretary Clare Walker. There was also a special life time achievement award for Monty Perry who has been associated with the club as a player, committee member and grounds man for 50 years.

Ottery St Mary FC Charity Football Matches

In Aid Of Cystic Fibrosis Trust

 

Ottery St Mary FC will taking part in a duo of charity matches raising money for Mark Murrin’s Charity Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Mark’s Niece suffers from the disease so it is one that is close to his heart so please dig deep and sponsor us online. Everyone from the Football club is getting involved from the youth to the Players past and present so we would like as many people involved as possible.

Both Games will take place at Washbrook Meadows.

 

Game 1: Friday 16th May Otters Reserves Vs Ottery under 16 ko 7.30

 

Game 2: Saturday 17th May Otters Reserves Vs Chairman's XI ko 12.30

 

Raffels and prizes will take place at the club, plus the FA Cup final is on big screen after the game on the Saturday, we look forward to seeing you there.

The Otters finished their Peninsular League campaign when they travelled to bottom of the league Buckfasleigh. Unlike the previous visit to neighbours Liverton where the pitch was immaculate Buckfasleigh’s pitch was bumpy and resembled a flower meadow covered in buttercups & daisy’s. More

Reserves

Newly promoted Senior 5 champions Phoenix Club were the visitors to Washbrook "the home of Devon football" today and they were trying to preserve there formidable record of 24 wins and 1 draw. More

Under 13s

Scott Halliday's under 13s finished their season  after a busy week with 4 games in 7 days. On Thursday they beat Colyiton 4-2 away then on Sunday finished with a home win against Exmouth Juniors 2-1. Both reports can be found on the under 13s page

30/04/08 Liverton 2 Ottery St Mary 2
The Otters travelled to Liverton for this evening game and after a day of torrential rain in the area expected to find the pitch heavy/ under water but credit to the Liverton Ground Staff the pitch was one of the best the Otters have played on this season (away). Report   Photos

A busy week for the under 13s

Under 13s

A 1-1 draw away at Uplyme on Saturday (Report) followed by a 4-2 win at Honiton to confirm the league championship (Report) Then on Thursday 1st May they visit Colyton and then on Sunday are at home to Exmouth Juniors.

Following Ottery’s defeat to Exmouth in a cup final last season, the otters were determined to prove themselves this year.
Both teams started strong but Ottery’s excellent teamwork and persistence paid off within 20 minutes
